Jimmy, I wish you were here......

Guess what???? I retire in 5 working days. I still remember sitting with you at Ivanee and Ed's place in Kiln (sp.) . We were in a swing, looking out at the river and I thought that was about as good as it gets. Then you said to me, "you know, Margaret, all I want is to be really retired and just stay at home in Kentwood". I had just left CCU nursing and was taking a short break.......then you died in that horrible accident and I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I finally get a grip on what you meant. I am so happy to be able to walk away from my 44 years as a nurse and if you were still in your wonderful place on Holly Hill, that would be one of my first trips!

Fox News, 14 years old today! Jimmy, I still remember you telling me that Jack and I should watch Bill O'Reilly instead of Chris Matthews. Tonight, Jack finally admitted you are right! Way to go, Bro!!!

Jimmy, I'm sure you will be proud of this!

Gov. Jindal was presenting all of the veterans with special medals for their service to our country. (I know, I can just hear you saying, "Carol Jean" didn't serve our country!) I guess she just happenend to be in the right place at the right moment.

13th Anniversary of Jimmy's Death

This was taken in May at a party Jimmy and Barbara had given at their house. Jimmy was killed in a freak car accident on September 26, 1998. It seems like just yesterday. We miss you so much, Jimmy! I hope you are behaving in heaven and not causing Mother and Daddy too much grief! HA!!!!!
