December 27, 1966

It was a rainy day in Kentwood and we had all gathered at the First Baptist Church to witness the union of a very special and devoted couple................Jack and Margaret tied the knot! You were one of the bridesmaids, Ella Joy! That's about all I remember other than Jimmy hiding a tape recorder in the choir room downstairs at the church so he could listen to all the chatter and advice my friends were giving me while I changed from my wedding dress into my going away attire! Then as Jack and I tried to drive away, Jimmy opened the back door and tried to climb in the car. It didn't end there........he called me every morning on my honeymoon at 6 am to see what I was doing!! Ah............it seemed just like yesterday!
